STEP ONE: Creating links on your web site using the HTML editor

You need to open one of your web page in the HTML Editor prior to adding links to your page. Click here for directions on opening your HTML Editor

Type a few words on your web page. Whatever words you wish to link.

Or you can put a picture on the page and make the picture itself a link. (Click here to learn how to add pics to the page.)

STEP TWO: Highlight those words or pictures using your mouse. (as shown below)

STEP THREE: Click on the INSERT HYPERLINK button on the toolbar.

STEP FOUR: In the box labeled URL shown in the screenshot below you put the full address of where you wish this link to take you when clicked.

Once you click the insert button you can see your finished work. A live link that will take the visitor exactly where you told it too.

You can also link to pages on your own site. Just include that address in the link URL box above.

STEP FIVE: YOU MUST PRESS THE SAVE BUTTON FOR CHANGES TO GO LIVE ONLINE.

WHEN YOU EXAMINE YOUR WORK IN A WEB BROWSER DO NOT FORGET TO HIT THE REFRESH BUTTON IN YOUR WEB BROWSER OR YOU WILL NOT SEE YOUR CHANGES.
